The Xbox Games Showcase taking place tomorrow looks to be a big one for Microsoft. A new report coming from Eirik Hyldbakk Furu at GameReactor states that Avowed and Fable will both be at the showcase according to their four sources.
“Four sources I’ve spoken with have confirmed that both Avowed and Fable will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase. These new trailers will as promised not be CG like the ones used to announce the games, but instead give us an indication of what they’ll actually look and play like.”
The trailers that’ll be shown off for both Fable & Avowed will not be CG like the ones shown for their initial announcements. The trailer for both games will give us a good idea what it’ll actually look like giving fans realistic expectations.
This does not come as a surprise now since head of Xbox Marketing, Aaron Greenberg stated on Twitter regarding the Showcase that there’d be no full CG trailers for first-party games.
“Everything is either in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics.”
There were a lot of rumors about Fable being restarted with a new release window of 2024, but that turned out to be false. Over the last month Microsoft seemed to be teasing an update on Fable for it to be at the Xbox Games Showcase. Both Avowed and Fable were both announced in 2020 and it’s no surprise that we’ll be seeing them at this show.
