The beta playtest for Bethesda’s anticipated Fallout 76 has gone live recently for Xbox users getting a week head start for the approaching online title. As it was expressed from the publisher, Bethesda has warned users participating that bugs will be present when the beta is active.
One glitch that surfaced blew expectations out of proportion with the chance of losing the entire download file on your preferred platform. Though we expected not to be playing the final product in the Break-It Easy Test Application, fans were surprised to run into this incident that can ultimately make you have to redownload the client.
We are actively investigating an issue causing PC players to redownload the #Fallout76 B.E.T.A. If you see a progress bar, please allow the download to complete. Thank you for your continued patience while we work to resolve this issue.

For those who aren’t unaware: when the client freezes, players would have the instinct to mash buttons until they receive a response on the screen. Resulting with the entire thing crashing, returning you to your home screen. While crashing is an inconvenience, the problem expands past that to the point where it will remove the entire client from your save drive.
The entire client is roughly 50 GB, which could last around an hour, maybe two to fully install. Having already done it once to have to reinstall the file is annoying. In best interest, it’s best to take Bethesda’s advice in being patient when running into the incident to save you the trouble down the road. As the client is practically the full thing, carrying over your progress and such, that’s why the entire download is massive for just the beta.
PC #Fallout76 B.E.T.A. players: We are investigating an issue affecting B.E.T.A. preloads in the https://t.co/spj7OhagQy Launcher: If you are actively downloading the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A., or have a visible progress bar, please allow the download to complete.

The B.E.T.A. is currently still active for those who still haven’t joined yet. With it now available to PlayStation 4 and PC, there’s no reason not to get in for one of the remaining sessions. Bethesda left a list of when the beta will be active for the remaining week it will be available.
Fallout 76 will be set to launch for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 on November 14, 2018.
