
For the path laid ahead for PlayStation Plus, the service is being reforged for a new business model as you can gather. Recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment will introduce three new payment tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. Additionally, while the industry props it against Xbox Game Pass, President & CEO Jim Ryan explained it is not an answer to the Xbox endeavor with day one releases not coming to the service.
In relevance to PlayStation Plus this past month, Sony Interactive Entertainment headlined three titles for the monthly service. April 2022 featured Hood: Outlaws & Legends, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Slay the Spire. But looking ahead will introduce some recent releases for May 2022.
This week, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled the next major trio coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers. For the coming moon rotation includes FIFA 22, Tribes Of Midgard, and Curse of the Dead Gods. Users have until May 3rd to obtain April 2022’s free titles until shifting to the next batch in the coming month.
Bringing FIFA into the spotlight, its ‘22 installment could potentially be the last of its kind. No, Electronic Arts is not canceling FIFA. Instead, the firm is considering a complete rebrand from the FIFA name according to the firm’s financial report back in fall 2021. There has yet to be an official statement on Electronic Arts decision for the name change for this year’s annual release.
As for Tribes of Midgar, Rectify Gaming did a review on the game at its release. “Tribes of Midgard is a lean, fast paced and accessible survival game with an intense and fun hook. Survival mode loses it’s luster pretty quickly, but Saga mode is clearly the main dish and it’s addicting as all Helheim,” said critic David Rodriguez. You can read the full piece by heading here.
