Since the arrival of Fallout 76, the game has certainly made a sharp u-turn in its amount of quality adjustments over the years. In recent time, players have saw the game expand itself with new territories like Atlantic City as well as the first map expansion also, Skyline Valley. The game has face a resurgence of players thanks to the TV show last year reaching over 1 million concurrent players then.

From that boost, the game did also hit a separate milestone. In that, Fallout 76 exceeded over 20 million players since the initial release dating back to 2018. And, there is still more to come to the game in terms of content. In fact, it was only a few months back it had another major update. In March, the ‘Glow of the Ghoul’ welcomed playable Ghouls to the game which included unique perks if deciding to transition.

Now from the Xbox Showcase on Sunday, Bethesda Game Studios shadow dropped a new update, Gone Fission. Going by the wordplay, fishing is now available in-game. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Making sure your fishing rod is up to snuff and using the right bait is important—there are a variety of rod styles, bobbers and reels to change your fishing rod’s appearance, as well as different types of bait that will allow you to catch an assortment of fish, each one stranger than the next. Some fish are even dubbed Local Legends and can only be caught in very specific areas of Appalachia,” the description reads.

“Gone Fission also includes a new location in the Mire region of Appalachia called Fisherman’s Rest. There, players will encounter a trio of unusual characters: the being known only as The Fisherman; the strangely vacant-eyed Captain Raymond Clark; and Linda Lee, an enormous but gentle hermit crab who has taken up residence, and is named after, Captain Clark’s wrecked fishing boat.”

How excited are you for this new update in Fallout 76?
