Fortnite is known by name and dance moves that has caused it’s player base to reach 80 million players. Unfortunately another security oversight has left the players vulnerable to new virus/scam that is going around. Similar to what happened back in December. Random Fortnite players would receive a message in-game that caused their Ps4 to brick. It looks like the process is repeating but executing differently this time. The players Fortnite authentication token that confirms your identity, has the chance to be stolen by the hackers and the user doesn’t have to type a single word.

There have also been dangerous ads that can be seen on google searches. Currently fake YouTube channels claim to give players “Free V-bucks” by clicking on a link or watching a video. This sort of thing is easy for most adults to avoid, but children are often the targets for this situation. Once the player sends the website their user information, the hacker can also see which credit card is being used for the player account.
It is difficult to keep the younger player base away from buying V-bucks, but the parents must inform their kids that V-bucks can only be bought in the video game. It is almost the same as talking to strangers, just don’t do it.
