The PlayStation 5 lineup for its recent string of limited edition controllers is nothing to brush off. Just to kick off 2025, players were met with the introduction of the ‘Limited Edition Helldivers 2 DualSense Controller’ this past February. The number of new options continued with The Last of Us in April as well as Death Stranding 2: On The Beach later in May.
Additionally, Sony Interactive Entertainment continued this trend into the fall. In October, three new DualSense options were introduced: Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition DualSense Controller, Joyful Astro Bot DualSense Controller, and DualSense Wireless Controller – God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition. Not to mention the surprise reveal for the DualSense Wireless Controller – Icon Blue Special Edition in October too.
Now with 2025 nearly completed, the PlayStation firm is planning to ship more DualSense controllers next year. This time, it is inspired by the world of HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to present the DualSense Wireless Controller – Genshin Impact Limited Edition to our players and fans around the world. The controller features iconic design elements inspired by Genshin Impact’s beloved Traveler Twins and Paimon, celebrating years of adventure and companionship in Teyvat, alongside our cherished memories with the community,” HoYoverse president of global publishing and operation Wenyi Jin said.
“The new controller features an ethereal white, gold, and green palette adorned with arcane glyphs of a fantasy realm, including emblems of Traveler Twins Aether and Lumine and their trusted companion guide, Paimon,” Isabelle Tomatis, Sony Interactive Entertainment global marketing vice president said to describe the DualSense’s design.
