Just earlier this May, a listing for a remastered iteration of Terminal Reality’s Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered was discovered on a Taiwanese ratings board, which listed the unannounced title for Microsoft’s Xbox One.
Now the title has been fully announced and is planned to release sometime later down the line for 2019 as all major platforms will receive the reworked, 2009 game. Players who have missed out on the initial title last generation on Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 will have the opportunity to get another chance to play what many fans could argue as the third piece of the cinematic trilogy.
The remastered version of the game will play as the initial version, but will give 4K resolution outputs for gameplay and in-game cutscenes. As well as touching up on lighting and reworking the original textures.
But unlike the base game which is currently available on Steam, the remastered version will be exclusive to Epic Games’ storefront when ready to launch for PC.
Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered is listed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
