Half-Life G-Man Voice Actor Posts Cryptic Video Hinting At News Coming In 2025

Valve’s Half-Life series remains to be the definitive example for an IP to always exceed expectations of its fanbase. While a proper third installment never did make its debut, players were overly satisfied with the virtual reality – prequel. Half-Life: Alyx. However, with the 25th anniversary for the inaugural entry for the series already passed, players are excited for what could come in the future.

According to job listings online, Valve is speculated to be working on a new Half-Life project. Whether it’s the third entry or a new experience – the series will be continuing onward with Project White Sands. Additionally, many believe this could play in part with the evidence on SteamOS revealing potential hints to new hardware in development at Valve too.

Well, G-Man voice actor Mike Shapiro in celebrating the arrival of 2025 has left a cryptic video for something arriving this year. Although Shapiro remains mummed on the intention of this Half-Life teaser, he does equip some G-Man verbiage.

“Another year already. Good to see and hear from so many of you. May the next quarter century deliver as many unexpected surprises, hmm, as did the millennium’s first. Then again time is fluid like music. See you in the new year!”  he says in the video on X. Whether it holds water if Valve will actually reveal a new Half-Life will be left to time to reveal that in 2025.
