Fans of Halo Infinite are surely aware of the state of the game: it shipped malnourished of what the conventional Halo title typically releases with. Aspects such as co-op campaign, Forge Mode, and mission select were absent from the full release last fall. It was not until this past April did 343 Industries release a projected roadmap for the missing features including the aforementioned absences of said modes.

So far for Halo Infinite, content has remained fairly slim on the receiving end of players. At launch of Season 2 – Lone Wolves, players learned Microsoft’s Clippy will be crossing over as a cosmetic item for purchase. But, the only consistent add-on for the live service game remains to be the Entrenched Fracture which periodically surfaces throughout the season. However, the co-op campaign flight is scheduled to ship this month.

Well, 343 Industries on Twitter officially revealed that invites are officially being sent out for Halo Insiders to test flight Halo Infinite co-op campaign.

“When the Fireteam Leader starts a co-op campaign session, all players in the Fireteam will be prompted to select their save file. Using the selected save files, the Fireteam’s campaign progress is aggregated so that the session’s progress reflects content that all members have completed. This allows all progress made in co-op sessions to be applied to each player’s individual save file,” the team writes in the Halo Waypoint post.

“Collectibles, such as Data Pads and Skulls, will appear in co-op sessions if any Fireteam members have not collected them in their individual save. Collecting these items in co-op will unlock them for all Fireteam members who had not already collected them. If all players in the session have collected these items, they will not appear or be interactive.”

Noted, the co-op campaign flight is active starting today – July 15th – and will remain open until August 1st. A date for when another flight or the official release of the feature has yet to be released. Additionally, mission select is also included in the current flight as well which is appreciated progress from the developer.
