Halo Infinite has slowly been getting new content since it was released in 2021 which includes game modes. It wasn’t until recently that it received the iconic Assault game mode that has always been in Halo titles. On Friday, Halo Studios revealed S&D Extraction will be coming to Halo Infinite this year,
The new game modes will be Single Life, Round Based, Best of 11, Offense vs Defense (alternating), and an Economy System. Maps will be asymmetrical with 2 Extraction Sites.
The offensive team must determine which site to attack and initiate an Extraction on the site. Once the Extraction begins, the defending team must convert.

In short, Halo Infinite is finally receiving its version of Search & Destroy from Call of Duty or you could compare it to Valorant, CS: GO, and others. This will be featured in the Halo Championship Series sometime in 2025 the announcement stated.
Halo Studios said the mode is still in the early days and will be seen in action at the FaZe Kaysan Invitational on March 29th. S&D Extraction will be available for all players and not just HCS when officially arrives.
