After being teased it was coming to Gamepass during this year’s Xbox E3 event, Microsoft announced during their Gamescom episode of Inside Xbox today that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will hit the Gamepass store on Septermber 1, 2018.

Featuring four games complete with multiplayer, the MCC will have – thanks to another huge update – up to 4K UHD resolution, HDR support, faster loading times, improved matchmaking and LAN, and 60fps on multiplayer.

So if you haven’t had a chance to play any of the Halo games, then there has never been a better time to jump into this classic first person shooter series.

Players take control of Master Chief, a cybernetic-enhanced super soldier, accompanied by Cortana, his artificial intelligence, as he takes on the threats from the Covenant to the dreaded Flood, a parasitic enemy force.

Spanning four games and a whole galaxy, on September 1, it will be time to finish the fight.
