The currently ongoing entry for Call of Duty with Infinity Ward’s 2019-released Modern Warfare has received its second batch of duo fun as the developer has abruptly dropped the game variant for Warzone. The feature was present earlier on in 2020 not too long after the initial release of the mode, but was randomly pulled from the game shortly after debuting for the online mode.
The announcement was made on Twitter unveiling that players can drop with a second teammate on either battle royale or plunder starting today.
It was not too long ago that the return of Trios made its way to Warzone. Developer infinity Ward shared the announcement back in early April and since then the game variant has continued to be present in Warzone for well over a month now. Assuming the same pattern is to be subjected to Duos – we might be safe to say that Duos is here for good.
Of course, Infinity Ward did not directly clarify that the variant is here for good, but looking how Trios has kept its ground since last month ,the same is presumed for Duos also. While that is not entirely certain, Infinity Ward has been very direct about preserving Warzone as a whole with the imminent transition to next-generation consoles.
In an interview with GamerGen, Infinity Ward Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki told the outlet that Warzone is to still be around when the approaching systems arrive. You can read the full report by heading here.
