Whiteward Walkthrough Hollow Knight Silksong

Whiteward in Hollow Knight Silksong is a region in the Citadel section of Pharloom. This area sits between Choral Chambers and the East Underworks. It acts like a connecting one, but has its own items, bosses, and NPCs. Whiteward contains its map, some spool fragments, a tool, a boss, NPCs, and side quests.

Acquire the Surgeon key to open special locked doors inside Whiteward. Get your hands on the Injector Band from a shelf in this region to heal faster. Progressing through this region can be challenging through this biome due to several threats lurking around every corner. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to progress in Whiteward, including some tips and tricks to defeat the Unravelled boss.

How to Get Inside Whiteward

Defeat the Cogwork Dancers in Charol Chambers. Use the White Key that you already got to open the gates. This key can also be purchased from Jubilana by using Rosaries. Use the White Key to unlock Whiteward in Hollow Knight Silksong.

Find Choral Commandment

Travel to the right after taking the lift down. This bench is free to use, as you don’t need Rosaries to activate it. Make your way back to the left and go down. Travel to the left to get inside the room next to you. There are multiple objects that you can see in the background. Locate the keyhole near the third one. Another key is required to progress further.

Move to the next room and follow the path till you find a fork. Climb up and travel to the right to locate a switch. This lever is available at the end of this room. Hitting this lever allows you to open the door beneath you. Make your way to the left after dropping down to collect Choral Commandment.

Travel all the way back to the Dreg Husk’s location to get inside the next room. Dreg Husk is the deadliest enemy, so be sure to defeat it as soon as possible without taking too much damage. Now, move to the right to enter the next room by passing through the large wall on the right-hand side. Hit the lever in this room to unveil a path that leads you to the elevator shaft.

Get to the top of this elevator shaft and call the elevator by pressing the button. However, you need to stand on the button to press it. Immediately head down and move to the area where you were before pressing the button. Pressing the button allows you to let the elevator move up. Head down to the room where you collected the Spool Fragment.

Move to the fork after traveling up and passing through the elevator shaft. Collect the Silkeater from the end of the room after going to the right and destroying the grate.

Get out of this room and head below. See the object on the left side at the bottom. Use 70 Rosaries to get your hand on the Whiteward map. Travel to the right to get inside the next chamber. Defeat the Mortician in this new area. This enemy is wielding scissors and attacks you to finish you off. Its single attack can deal 2 damage, so come up with the right strategy to eliminate this nasty enemy.

Keep moving to the right and defeat the other Mortician. Now, you will get to the fork and platform over your head. Climb all the way up and continue moving to the right. Defeat the Mortician in this chamber, but you can also choose to avoid it and move up. Collect the Injector Band at the end after moving up to get to the fork. This tool is used to heal your character faster, saving your life during a hectic fight.

Move to the East Side of Underworks

Travel all the way to the up and head down from the big hole at the end. Dropping down from here leads you to the top of lava rocks. Keep jumping while passing through this area and move to the right. Drop down after getting inside the next room. Break the bottom left wall in the small room and travel to the left.

Get ready to defeat Giant Drapemite, as this enemy is harder to defeat due to its devastating attacks. Collect the Shell Shards and Rosaries after killing this enemy. Make your way back and head down to get to the eastern side of Underwords.

Make your way back to the Whiteward and travel to the right. This is the area before you head down into the lava pit. Move to the top to find the secret path. Defeat the enemy and find a grapple point if you move to the left. Use the Clawline to drop the item (Surgical Key) from the upside. Use this key in the lock mechanism by moving back. Doing so allows you to open the area beneath, and you drop down into the arena of The Unravelled.

How to Defeat Unravelled Boss

Defeat the enemies once the fight starts, allowing the boss to spawn in the arena. Unravelled has three major attacks and can deal two mask damage, so use the right strategy to defeat it. The right initiate with the charge attack, but you can deal damage by attacking him during his attacks. Make sure to jump and dash to attack him before he goes underground. Unravelled comes up with the charge attack after popping out from the ground, and his projectiles can hit you.

Use Threadstorm during the fight to deal massive damage. Jump over or sidestep, then counterattack from behind immediately when you see Unravelled start its charge. Move to the opposite side of the arena when the boss spawns projectiles. Don’t try to force damage when the boss is in full attack mode.

Use the Injector band to heal faster, or wait until you clear a round or after dodging a big attack. It’s best to eliminate the enemies that spawn during this fight to gain more Silk to heal your character. Defeating this boss allows you to obtain Silk Heart.
