
Among the billboard announcements for Nintendo Switch 2, The Legend of Zelda did receive a countable amount of attention as well. Firstly, legacy Nintendo Switch titles are being enhanced for the new console – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Additionally, there is also the return for one of the most beloved releases to be playable come launch for the console, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Nintendo announced that the game to be included in the full roster for the GameCube Virtual Console this June. Noted, it will only be accessible for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack owners on the new console.
Moreover, Nintendo revealed in a new collaboration with Team Ninja a new Hyrule Warriors installment, ‘Age of Imprisonment’. You can watch the full trailer in the video below:
“Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is the newest title in the Hyrule Warriors series and is developed by Koei-Tecmo Games with support from Nintendo. The game features epic battles against hordes of enemies as it tells the untold story from Hyrule’s distant past of the Imprisoning War that ultimately led to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.”
The press release added: Fans of the Legend of Zelda series and players of both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can experience the thrill of battle and this canonical tale featuring Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and other familiar characters.”
