Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced that Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is releasing on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition drops players in a vast, dark fantasy world as imagined by Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Dark Souls video game series, and George R.R. Martin, author of The New York Times’ best-selling fantasy series, “A Song of Ice and Fire.”
This version of Elden Ring on Switch 2 included the expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, featuring an epic new adventure expanding on the story of the original. The title also features brand new content, including two new Starting Classes for players to choose from, along with new character armor and the ability to customize Torrent, players’ faithful Spectral Steed.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition was originally announced last year and was expected to be released within that year. However, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco delayed the game.
Elden Ring has sold over 30 million units across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
