It was reported and expected last year that Starfield would be coming to PlayStation 5, eventually. Microsoft has slowly been putting its Xbox games on PS5, including Forza Horizon 5, which has been selling very well on the platform.
Well-known leaker, NateTheHate, who has been accurate this year on his information claims again that Starfield is coming to PS5. This comes from a post on X where he says, “Next up: Xbox games coming to Switch 2.”
He followed up with another response to someone else, saying “Starfield is coming to PS5 & intent should be announced this year. It’s just a matter of when will the announcement happen.”
The communication from Microsoft has been confusing since last year. They once mentioned Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and Starfield were Xbox exclusives. A year after the statement, one of those games has already made its way to PS5, with the other one still likely coming.
It’ll be hard to tell when the Starfield to PS5 announcement will be made, as Sony has been announcing new additions through posts on X (Twitter). Summer Game Fest is less than a few weeks away, and we could see some surprises there.
The most recent announcement from Microsoft was that Hellblade II will release on PlayStation 5 this Summer.
