Marvel’s Deadpool VR releases on November 18

At Gamescom Opening Night Live, developer Twisted Pixel and Oculus Studios announced that Marvel’s Deadpool VR will release on November 18. It will be available exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

Marvel’s Deadpool VR received a new story trailer. Deadpool crashes straight into Mojoworld – home to your new boss, Mojo, voiced by John Leguizamo. He has a galaxy-sized streaming empire and a contract for you: kidnap Marvel’s toughest villains, make them fight to the death, and rack up ratings like a blood-soaked reality game show.

Below are some of the features in Marvel’s Deadpool VR:

• Slice, dice, and use whatever miscellaneous body parts are lying around to fight big bads like Mephisto, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red, and uh…Ultimo.
• Stylishly pair parkour with a freeform combat system that builds up Deadpool’s special meter, unlocking Mojo-fied versions of iconic Marvel gear like the mighty Mojo-nir hammer or Mojo’s Crazy Cajun Cards.
• Groove to dozens of licensed tracks, because ultraviolence goes better with a killer playlist.

“You’ll face off against Marvel fan-favorites like Mephisto, Lady Deathstrike, and Omega Red (and uh…Ultimo) as you try to fulfill Deadpool’s contract and become really (really) rich. Mojo’s galactic audience is watching your every move, so try to have fun with it, you know? Throw your sword into a guy’s chest, or throw him off a ledge, or decapitate him and recite the “Alas, poor Yorick” monologue.

Marvel’s Deadpool VR blends parkour with a freeform combat system that lets you get creative with your hacking and slashing and shooting. The more stylish you are, the faster you’ll get access to some truly Marvel-ous weapons. Build up Deadpool’s special meter, and you’ll get access to Mojo-fied versions of iconic Marvel gear—you might’ve spotted a few in the Gamescom trailer. Wield the mighty Mojo-nir hammer, or throw some of Mojo’s Crazy Cajun Cards at enemies and watch them explode.”

In June, the Deadpool VR title was revealed at Summer Game Fest. It will be exclusive to only Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
