For the sake of Square Enix, it is very likely to guess that the launch of Marvel’s Avengers would be one of the most underwhelming releases for the publisher to date. In that, it was reported the Japanese publisher is at a loss of roughly $63 million following the game hitting store shelves. But, that is not the only game underway with the Marvel license.

Additionally, it was told that Guardians of the Galaxy is another property on the way as well. More recently, Bloomberg Tech’s Jason Schreier told that the supposed title is expected to be unveiled later this month as part of the upcoming Square Enix ‘Presents’ Show taking place on Sunday.

During the virtual showcase, Square Enix pulled the curtain to unveil Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is created by the seasoned Eidos-Montréal team, working closely with Marvel Entertainment to provide an original and authentic experience inspired by over 50 years of Guardians of the Galaxy lore. Influenced by the comics, this unique spin on the Guardians of the Galaxy will take players on a riotous journey across the stars as Peter Quill and the Guardians unintentionally become the galaxy’s first and last line of defense.”

The press release continues by sharing, “Master Star-Lord’s dynamic combat style to obliterate foes with his Element Blasters and call on the unique abilities of each Guardian to defeat a wild variety of interplanetary enemies. Also, as self-proclaimed leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, players will engage in select player-choice driven dialogue and interactions between Quill and the Guardians that further strengthens the bonds within this dysfunctional family.”

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy arrives on October 26, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nvidia GeForce Now.
