It has been a little while since we got an official word from LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule on their upcoming title Dreams. Yesterday the British studio tweeted that upcoming news for the anticipated PlayStation exclusive title will be revealed today during a livestream hosted on their official Twitch. With fans circulating around the update by the developer, many questioned if the team will reveal any information on the beta for the new game.

Following today’s livestream, Media Molecule has announced that a closed beta will be coming starting tomorrow and an open beta will be next year. Fortunate for those who signed up for the developer’s newsletter prior to December 7th will gain access to tomorrow’s closed beta. The duration of the beta will last from December 19th to January 21st. Those who missed out will have to be patient until January 4th to sign up for the dateless open beta.

The closed beta will require users to install a 4GB download and to sign a non-disclosure agreement to not to post anything from the approaching client (but you can discuss amongst other participants in the game’s forum). In the latest FAQ, Community Manager Tom Dent details that the beta will not include: PSVR compatibility, the game’s story mode, and co-op edit mode. He also mentioned that creations will carry over to the full product, but player progression will be reset when the title launches.

Dreams is currently set to release only for PlayStation 4.
