The past week stands to be a very active time for IO Interactive. Alongside its long-standing Hitman IP, it is working on another IP, James Bond. After teasing Project 007 roughly half a decade ago, it finally unveiled 007 First Light. The game is to also ship next year in 2026. The firm also recently held its own ‘IO Interactive Showcase’ which offered insight on the two games alongside its publishing venture, MindEye.
Now this week, Build A Rocket Boy’s MindEye is finally out across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. You can watch the new launch trailer in the video below:
“Set in Redrock, a sprawling desert metropolis ruled by surveillance and automation, MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, an ex-soldier haunted by fractured memories. As his personal mission escalates, he’s forced to navigate a world shaped by rogue AI, militarized tech, and a fragile grip on control, all while confronting the truth about his past,” the game’s synopsis reads.
“With MindsEye, we wanted to create something original, something that pushes boundaries, feels familiar, and is genuinely fun to play and rewarding to create. It’s been nearly a decade of collaboration across design, tech, narrative, and art. This world wasn’t just built for players; it was built with the idea that they’d eventually take it further,” studio founder Leslie Benzies says.
“This is about access. About breaking down the walls between studio and player,” Benzies added. “The Game Creation System puts the power of development in players’ hands. MindsEye is designed to grow, adapt, and inspire; it’s not just a game, it’s the future of interactive entertainment.”
