Minecraft’s ‘Tricky Trials’ Update Adds New Mace Weapon, Armor Trimming, Paintings, And More When It Arrives This June

Around this time last year, Mojang Studios rolled out the latest update for Minecraft ‘Trails & Tales’. Featuring new mobs like the camel, more blocks, and the long-promised archeology feature. The following winter, Minecraft Live mob votes were casted electing the armadillo to be the newest mob coming to the game.

As for confirmed updates to the game, Xbox Series X did welcome a proper 4K update to the game. Even more, PlayStation 5 was also reported to receive the same treatment at some point too. Most entertaining is what came this April Fool’s. At the start of the month, the ‘Poisonous Potato Update’ arrived transforming much of the game for the holiday.

Now this week, Mojang Studios announces its newest update ‘Tricky Trials’ is to arrive in June. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Trial chambers are a new structure releasing as part of the update that are filled with traps, tricks, and treasures! No-one knows who built these sprawling copper structures (or if they do, they didn’t tell me!), but we do know what you’ll find inside them: a slew of new challenges, mobs to do battle with, rewards to claim, and blocks to build with.” These new areas introduces mobs the breeze and the bog

“The mace is a new weapon coming as part of the Tricky Trials Update, and it’s smashing. Crafted using a breeze rod (dropped by breezes) and a heavy core (a new item only found in ominous vaults), you’ll feel more powerful than a charged creeper with this new weapon in your hand. Use its smash attack while falling and knock back your enemies,” the blog post added.

“What’s a holiday into a hostile-mob filled trial chamber without a few souvenirs? Decorate your base (or your armor) with a memory of your trickiest trial chamber experience with the new armor trims, pottery sherds, or banners coming as part of the update.” And the most exciting is that paintings after more than a decade is receiving more than a dozen new variants in the new update?
