For many Xbox Game Pass owners, simply subscribing monthly to the service is a major perk over other competing services in the market. And Microsoft continues to offer more incentive to join its side of the battle. Previously, one of its biggest pushes was with Riot Games. In that, it offered a slew of instant unlockable characters for League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics.

Additionally, the firm did reinstate the beloved $1 deal for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, it was not long before Microsoft shortened the period to only 14 days instead of the full month. This week, the Xbox firm shared its lineup coming to Xbox Game Pass with Sea of Stars, Gris, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Firewatch. But, there is more included in the meat of the blog post.

Towards the end of the Xbox Wire post, it reveals a new partnered perk is live for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owners. Similar to its deal with Riot Games, this time Blizzard Entertainment extends its hand with the ‘Overwatch 2 New Heroes Starter Pack.’ In it features over a handful of classic and newer Heroes that will instantly unlock for owners in Overwatch 2.

“New adventures await! This bundle includes instant access to Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, Lifeweaver, and our newest hero Illari. Each of these heroes will come with a Legendary skin and other in-game cosmetics. This Perk requires Overwatch 2 to use,” the announcement explains. Of this includes the latest Hero Illari who was added in the recent update. The client also introduced Invasion to Overwatch 2.

This arrangement is a trend of collaborations with Activision Blizzard as Microsoft continues to pursue its $69 billion acquisition. Previously, Overwatch 2 embraced Xbox marketing came its launch this past fall. Even more is the Diablo IV Xbox Series X bundle that rolled out at launch for the new game.
