One of the largest controversies in the console world has continued to develop at Xbox. It’s that select titles are to ship on competing platforms like Nintendo & PlayStation. The one already available is Pentiment with Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, and Grounded on the way. However, there is one thing that really upset fans even more. From footage of the game, it is revealed that the game performs at 120hz rather than the 60hz option on current Xbox machines. It was addressed that this issue was a mistake on the backend of the game and a fix would be issued.

Well, the promised update for Pentiment is here. Announced on Friday, Obsidian Entertainment design director Josh Sawyer via X that a fix went live for the game – including the 120hz feature for Xbox Series X also implemented.

Sawyer also noted a handful of other aspects that were adjusted as well. One of the noted elements of Pentiment at launch was the choice of its game icon which has since been replace. The same can also be said for Platinum Trophy “Historia Tassiae” as well for the name. Alongside 120hz being repaired, the High Contrast option also faced a fix as well. And, controller graphics for both PS4 & PS5 were also updated.

Looking ahead, Pentiment alongside Hi-Fi Rush are to face physical releases as well thanks to the recent string of multiplatform announcements. Via Limited Run Games, the arrangement already went live for Pentiment with news on the latter coming at a later time. You can read the full report by heading here.
