Mario Kart World Cow

When Mario Kart World was first revealed in April, one of the many things that excited fans was the ability to play as the Cow. This character has been seen as an NPC in many Mario Kart games before, through certain racetracks. When Mario Kart World was released, there were lobbies full of players using the Cow racer.

On Friday, PETA announced it has started a petition to remove the ring from the Cow’s nose in Mario Kart World. They stated the following:

Nose rings are used by the meat and dairy industries to exploit, control, and even drag animals to their deaths … leave the rings to Sonic and let Cow breathe free.”

Nintendo has not responded to the petition from PETA, and it’s unknown how many signups it has as of this moment.

Do you think the nose ring should be removed from Cow?
