Phantasy Star Online 2 Planned To Hit Steam

It was this past December that Sega disclosed that the upcoming closed beta is almost upon us as sign-ups for the exclusive playtest are available for those on Xbox. While we are aware that the closed beta is only serving for console, the game is slated for a PC launch later this year, presumably Windows 10. However, according to a recent finding, the game should also expect a release on Steam as well.

According to ResetEra user wwm0nkey, they seem to have unearthed the game’s manual which discloses crucial details for the game, some that have yet to be properly disclosed by developer Team Sonic or even Sega who is publishing the upcoming title. Whilst reading the online publication, it tells of the game releasing later on and specifically mentions Valve-owned Steam.

However, upon further reporting this a day after the initial discovery on the internet, it looks that Sega has delisted the game manual as the link that’s directed to the online booklet has been taken down. Mentions of other popular storefronts like GoG.com and Epic Games Store were not provided.

Recently, Microsoft disclosed that the upcoming playtest which is available for sign-ups is scheduled to arrive this Friday on February 7 for Xbox Insider members. Unfortunately for keyboard & mouse users on PC will have to sit this one out as only their console counterparts can partake in the approaching closed beta for the game.
