Asobo Studios have released a new story trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem today ahead of its launch next month. Amicia and Hugo have a lot ahead of them on their journey to end the plague and the curse embedded in the young de Rune’s blood stream.

As Amicia and Hugo set out to find a mysterious island in the hope of ending the curse which runs through Hugo’s blood, they find themselves having to rely on the help of the people they meet. Walking into foreign territory, the young de Runes are unlikely to make it alone… but how much trust can they place in strangers? The answer seems as uncertain as the island is beautiful and terrifying.

We are treated to a mix of new gameplay and cinematic scenes in the trailer, showcasing just how beautiful the game is going to be. Flowing grass blowing gracefully in the wind, the sun light glistening off buildings in reflections as well as the emotional turbulence on the characters’ faces all show the impact the story will have.

A Plague Tale: Requiem releases October 18 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation5, PC and in Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch. Xbox players will be treated to the game day one on Game Pass as well. Take a look at the trailer below, and stay tuned for our coverage on release.
