Last summer, the turn for the new generation of console hardware felt to already be at the forefront during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 5 Showcase in June. Namely, titles like Resident Evil 8 alongside Horizon Forbidden West appeared to feature what the latest hardware can deliver. Funny to say that now knowing both are in fact cross-generation releases – exciting nonetheless.
But looking ahead for what is exclusive to the newest PlayStation & Xbox Series systems comes from Capcom with Pragmata. Unveiled at the original PlayStation Showcase, the Japanese publisher listed 2022 for its release. But, during a CES reel from Sony Interactive Entertainment disclosed 2023 to be the new time frame for the coming project.
It was later on that Sony Interactive Entertainment redacted the original listing for multiple titles including Pragmata. But, it happened to be accurate for this new project in the end as Capcom spares the year after next will be the new projected launch window for the game. You can watch the reveal in the video below:
“Hello everyone. Our team is hard at work on the project, but to ensure this will be an unforgettable adventure, we’ve decided to shift the release window to 2023. In the meantime, we have a brand new artwork to share with you,” Capcom shares in the blog post. Adding, “Thank you for your patience.”
From the game’s original reveal, Capcom told the game is to experiment with a new setting on Earth’s moon and is to feature raytracing as an element for the next-generation project. Aside from being based in a dystopian world off of our home planet, there is no further details disclosing how gameplay will be orchestrated for the full release.
Are you fine being patient for Pragmata?
Pragmata is listed to release in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
