It was in 2017 that developer Slightly Mad Studios shipped its second installment for Project Cars. Its realistic interpretation of track racing, vehicle tuning, and overall atmosphere of motorsports stood out especially seeing the title being publisher by Japanese publisher Bandai Namco. And now the studio has returned to unveil that Project Cars 3 is just around the corner.

In a new announcement trailer, the British game studio discloses just a sample of what players can expect in the overall experience for the third in the series. You can watch the trailer in full in the video below:

Glancing over the game’s website, Slightly Mad Studios reveals that newest installment will be the most ambitious in its lifetime offering 200 branded vehicles to race alongside over 140 different real-time tracks for players to experience from home. When reporting on Project Cars 2 back in 2017, Bandai Namco shared that weather affects and dynamic seasons will be making a return for Project Cars 3 with more immersion than ever experienced.

Day/night cycle will also be making its way back for Project Cars 3 to properly simulate real time when playing the game. Additionally, Slightly Mad Studios also discloses that a new and “challenging” career mode is also scheduled to ship with the base game as you build a reputation up the ranks to the most dignified driver on the tarmac.

Multiplayer modes and such are also told to be coming back two-fold with more intuitive game modes and to offer community game types to continue reeling back players to keep them on the track. Daily challenges and other in-game events are also touted to be a major focus for Project Cars 3.

While working on the next Project Cars title, developer Slightly Mad Studios shared back in early 2019 to be designing its own next-generation console. Dubbed the ‘Mad Box’, studio CEO Ian Bell shared that this new system is set to feature 4K resolution rendering as well as guaranteed virtual reality support up to 60 frames per second.
