Remedy Entertainment, the developers behind the underwhelming Microsoft exclusive Quantum Break confirms that 2 games are in development, neither Xbox exclusive.
It seems that Remedy either got annoyed with the bad sales of their games due to exclusivity or their contact with Microsoft is up. To be fair, after Detroit: Become Human, if Sony doesn’t buy Quantic Dream, I see them doing multiplatform too. This multi-game contract type thing isn’t very popular now.
Back to Remedy, they are adding PS4 support for their engine:
Remedy is also working on a game project codenamed P7. The company’s strategy is to release the game on a wider range of platforms, which is why Remedy is developing its Northlight technology also for PlayStation 4 consoles.
The other game currently in development at Remedy, well, here’s what they have to say:
Currently Remedy is developing a sequel to one of the most popular games in the world in cooperation with the Korean publisher Smilegate, whose long-time success CrossFire gathers 650 million registered users and over one billion dollar yearly revenues.
So another CrossFire is in the works, perfect! The dev took to Twitter to clear up any confusion!
Only time will tell what both these games really are, but don’t expect them for a long while. That’s all I got for now, for more on Remedy Entertainment and their upcoming games, well you’re already in the best place for news on that. :)
