Well over a year ago, many were ecstatic to learn that developer Lab Zero Games – the team responsible for Skullgirls – will be working on an action-platformer. Titled ‘Indivisible’, the project while utilizing turn-based RPG combat would expand further on the game’s unique settings, cast of characters, and other gameplay elements to relay a story more expansive than from the template of its prior work.

When arriving in October just over a year ago, fans grew excited learning that more content is settled to be on the way throughout the course of the game’s lifespan. Howbeit, the studio in recent months began facing restructuring and dissolution which the effects are impacting the developer.

Now, it is revealed that due to that Lab Zero Games will be ceasing development for future content coming to Indivisible.

In light of the recent restructuring and dissolution of Lab Zero, 505 Games would like to clarify what this means for the future Indivisible. At this stage, apart from content that is already in submission, there will unfortunately be no more production on the game.

We understand that longtime players have been waiting for Guest Characters as well as some Backer-created characters. Regretfully, this additional content will not be added to the game.

Not all is lost, however, Lab Zero Games as told by publisher 505 Games will meet its promise on already-issued content to come to Nintendo Switch. Post-launch additions such New Game+, couch co-op, and Razmi’s Challenges will be added in a new update on October 13. But, previously-announced guest characters and backer-created characters will not be released.

In addition for Nintendo Switch owners, the game will not receive its physical release in North America. 505 Games does clarify that digital and physical releases for other platforms and regions will still be available following the recent break of news for the status of Lab Zero Games.

For those who still might be unfamiliar with Indivisible, we highly suggest you read our feature on the game from PAX West 2019. Rectify Gaming’s Gregory Dawes explains his handling with the game to be one of his “best highlights from PAX.” You can read the full piece by heading here.
