Rumor: Sony Pictures casts #SpiderManHomecoming actor for Uncharted & story details! 

The upcoming Sony film based off the incredible Uncharted video game franchise by Naughty Dog has a new actor for Nathan Drake according to Deadline. The new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, will apparently be our new Nate. 
The movie is based off of Nathan Drake as a kid and yes, he’ll meet Sully for the first time (opening sequence of Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception basically). The original plot was a movie version of the original game but Sony could potentially break off from that and make a new story, just having the same beginning. 
Shawn Levy, who directed things like Stranger Things, Real Steel, and the Night at the Museum series will direct the Uncharted movie as well. 
The movie was announced on 2009, however never took off. It drifted from one producer and director to the next, same goes for casting. But maybe this can finally work out now. Uncharted isn’t the only movie coming though, The Last of Us and Sly Cooper movies are on their way, which we have some good news for Sly Cooper (it’s still alive!)
