Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector’s Edition Will Not Be Restocked

Halo Studios released a Q & A for Halo: Campaign Evolved giving more clarity on certain features that fans were unsure about. One of the topics discussed was the Collector’s Edition that was revealed after the Xbox Games Showcase.

It has been officially revealed by Halo Studios that the Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector’s Edition will not be restocked after it had sold out within a couple of hours of being listed. The studio says it was always intended to be a limited edition offering.

“The Collector’s Edition is officially sold out and there are no plans for a restock,” Halo Studios said in its latest blog post.

They also said retail partners have audited orders and didn’t find any evidence of widespread scalping.

“With regards to reports of reselling – Our retail partners have audited orders and found no evidence of widespread scalping. Only a tiny percentage of purchases showed suspicious behavior, and in those cases, orders were refunded and units were put back up for sale. As a reminder, some customers may choose to cancel their pre-order, so there’s always a chance a few more units trickle in over the coming weeks.

The good news is that there will be more Halo limited edition items coming over the next few months. The scalping statement is a concern amongst the Halo fanbase since it can be seen on eBay that the Collector’s Edition is being sold for over $600 in some cases.
