For the most part, Resident Evil stands to be a prominent franchise upon players across the globe. The franchise this past year has continued to remain in public eye with new content and collaborations underway. Earlier this year, the firm pressed Resident Evil 8 is receiving a story expansion, ‘The Winter’. Additionally, it will also feature a new third-person mode as well.
Not only that, the franchise just this past month also made another round over on Dead by Daylight. In that, Adam Wesker starred as the new Killer for the ongoing experience as part of Chapter 25. Additionally, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Resident Evil 7, and Resident Evil 8 are all to receive cloud versions for Nintendo Switch.
On Friday, Capcom revealed at its Tokyo Game Show 2022 Online Program that Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming to PlayStation 4. You can watch the segment of the show in the video below:
“We are progressing with development of Resident Evil 4 for PlayStation 5 and latest-gen systems, and we’ve been looking into releasing on previous generation hardware as well. I’m here today to tell you the game is also in development for PlayStation 4,” Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, Capcom producer shares during the segment.
“We’ll also have more Resident Evil 4 updates for you in next month’s Resident Evil Showcase. Look out for more info on the game there!” A date for the presentation has yet to be provided following the initial statement. For details if Resident Evil 4 Remake will come to Xbox One by chance is also not referenced either.
This is not uncommon from Capcom. In the past, Resident Evil 8 was originally projected as a next-generation exclusive release. Howbeit, the publisher later confirmed Xbox One & PlayStation 4 will both be receiving native ports at launch. You can read the full report by heading here.
