NZXT has released its latest Elite line of products including the Lift Elite Wireless, Elite Capsule, and the Function Elite MiniTKL. In this review, we will be taking a look at the Elite MiniTKL which delivers high-performance functionality in a sleek, durable design.

When I opened the MiniTKL from NZXT, I immediately noticed how heavy the keyboard was. This was my first experience using a keyboard like this, and I was truly impressed by its weight. What was also noticeable was the refined sound and feel.

NZXT made sure to upgrade the feel and sound of its MiniTKL featuring a gasket mount design, sound-dampening foam, custom stabilizers, a tape-enhanced PCB, and a heavy-duty aluminum case.

NZXT CAM Software

What’s great about NZXT’s line of products is they have an all-in-one software where you can customize all of your PC peripherals. With the NZXT CAM Software, I can change the lighting of all the keys and the perimeter, remap the buttons, and change the performance from a 1000 Hz polling rate to 8000. You can also add Macros.

My experience using the software has been exceptional and very simple to use. It gets all the basics down as far as customizing your keyboard to your liking. 

Function Elite MiniTKL Is Vibrant

NZXT truly delivers on its promise of a vibrant keyboard with RGB lighting. The customizable colors enhance the keyboard’s aesthetics and contribute significantly to your setup. While the RGB color options are nice, some of it isn’t accurate when selecting Orange for example it looks more like Red. This might be one of the negatives regarding the keyboard. 

Great Performance

Whether you are playing Marvel Rivals, Halo Infinite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Monster Hunter Wilds, or many others, the NZXT Function Elite MiniTKL provides great performance. Comfortability for long-term game sessions is questionable for those who prefer larger keyboards. This was my first time using this type of keyboard and can tell a big difference from your standard Gaming Keyboards.

Paying For Quality

Overall, the NZXT Function Elite MiniTKL is high quality what may turn potential customers away is its price. However, the price is worth it if you want something that is long-lasting and an upgrade from another keyboard you have now. 

What may hold the Function Elite MiniTKL back is that it is not a wireless keyboard. You can only use it wired using a USB-C to USB-A data cable it comes with. The color customization through the NZXT Cam Software could use improvements. 

It takes up less desk space, feels smooth, and has a satisfying sound, whether you are gaming or typing up reviews, this is a solid keyboard option for you. The Function Elite MiniTKL is exceptional.
