
In the ongoing live-service from Rare, Sea of Thieves remains a prominent IP from the developer and for the Xbox platform. Despite the start of the game back in 2018, the title has went on to become a consistently popular game among many later on. As of last October, the game exceeded more than 25 million users playing the game.
As for its content schedule, Season 5 introduced fireworks finally alongside rowboats mounted with cannons. Additionally, pirates could finally bury their own treasure which surely became a welcomed feature. The following content season laid out new gameplay elements such as Sea Forts to overtake atop of the Adventures & Mysteries that can be experienced and unfold what the story shares.
This week, Rare returns with a full rundown of its plans for Season 7 which arrives on August 4th. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
From the video, it is revealed ships can now be purchased with your lifetime plunders. For a few hundred thousand gold, you can claim your own vessel and even mount a name over the captain’s quarters. Moreover, customization is also a widespread feature to represent the owner with trinkets and other cosmetic changes on standby at any time.
Elsewhere, the trailer also shares a new company has washed up on shores: Sovereign. This new group specifically rewards captains bringing unique perks for ship owners. The faction also offers easy transfer of goods with a harpoon gun at the top of the seaside mast at every outpost piercing the sky to make lugging booty even less of a hassle.
