The amount of content that Destiny 2 has amounted to since its release roughly a decade ago is admirable to say the least. And after its acquisition by PlayStation, the operation has not been affected by the new place its calls home either. Previously, the game did welcome expansion ‘The Final Shape’ as well as experience ’Into the Light’ as well.
Elsewhere, we have seen Destiny 2 bridge into other games. At the time, Bungie collaborated with Ubisoft to feature selected items to be part of a crossover with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla then in 2022. Additionally, there was also a separate crossover that Bungie arranged with Epic Games to showcase themed items in Fortnite as well later that fall.
In a new collaboration this week, Destiny 2 is now earning its sea legs with Sea of Thieves as part of a ‘Lightbearer’ collection for the Pirate Emporium. You can read the full list of items below:

“Working with Bungie to bring Destiny 2 into Sea of Thieves was a creatively rich and deeply collaborative process. From the earliest concept sketches to finalising designs that honoured both universes, every step challenged us to think differently. We explored how iconic Destiny elements could be reimagined through a Sea of Thieves lens, translating tone, visual language, and character into something that felt fresh but unmistakably faithful. It pushed our teams creatively in the best possible way, and the result is something we’re truly proud of,” said product marketer Kelly Lombardi.
Previously, we saw Sea of Thieves share the open waters with another beloved franchise. Back in 2021, Rare & Gearbox Software shared the two will be collaborating to offer its own twist on Pandora cosmetics for Sea of Thieves. You can read the full report by heading here.
