The purview for this year’s Call of Duty has been interesting to say the least upon the arrival for Black Ops 7. In our review for the game, Rectify Gaming scored the annual title an 8/10. “Black Ops 7 is still a very fun and new content-filled game even if it’s like the others in some ways, and each year I’ll always end up right back where I started.” The follow-up to Black Ops 7 continues this trend of interesting developments for the latest entry.
Shortly after its release, Activision & Treyarch revealed that moving forward new releases will not be direct, back-to-back installments. So no more stacking Black Ops & Modern Warfare. Additionally, despite many opposing 2025’s Call of Duty, it still proved to be a massive hit on Game Pass. Microsoft touted it to be its most-played release for the year despite releasing so late into the holiday season.
Now, with content already rolling out for Black Ops 7, there is still more to digest for its full year lifecycle. Regarding Season 1 Reloaded, Treyarch announced a new crossover with Amazon Prime’s Fallout as it goes live today. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“The world of Fallout is coming to Call of Duty in the Mid-Season, featuring limited-time content themed around the Wasteland, including the Deathclaw Hunt Endgame World Event, The Ghouls and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Mayhem in Multiplayer, Project RADS in Zombies, and Power Armor Royale in Call of Duty: Warzone,” the overview for the update reveals.
Exploring what other crossovers the television show has accomplished recently also extends to Fallout 76, of course. ‘Burning Springs‘ released last month expanding the story with Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul making an appearance. And, Fallout Shelter kicked off its first season with ‘Viva New Vegas’ as familiar characters make a return as well. You can read the full report by heading here.
