Square Enix is canceling free to play game Nosgoth

Square Enix and Psyonix (developers of Rocket League), have announced that they are ceasing development of Legacy of Kain spinoff Nosgoth, which is a free to play game. The develoment of the game will entirely cease by the end of May.
“It is with a heavy heart and an immense sense of sadness that we must announce the end of Nosgoth’s development,” Psyonix announced today. “Servers will continue to run until 31st May 2016, during which time you will be able to play the game as normal. After that date, Nosgoth will be taken offline for the last time.”
The cancellation of Nosgoth might have been because the game didn’t get enough exposure on the market. Its hard for free to play games to receive any kind of popularity since other gamers are putting in a lot of time in other games. Nosgoth has also been released for quite awhile now, so interest of the game would have lowered over-time. If you so happen to have bought anything in-game since March, you will receive a refund within 2 weeks. The developers want you to know that this decision will not impact the Legacy of Kain series in any way.
