On April 27th, 2017 Studio Gobo who are known for making Disney Infinity figures which are the same thing as amiibo for Nintendo, announced via Twitter that they have a new partnership with Microsoft. They will share more information in the coming weeks and most likely at E3 2017.

The company also is known for making games. According to a gameplay designer job listing, Studio Gobo is currently working on a “third-person AAA character action console game.” A UX designer listing mentions a “free-to-play product based on a globally-recognized IP for a major publisher.” A senior graphics programmer listing mentions “developing a game which is a much loved and world-renowned.” And other listings simply mention an “unannounced console game.”
The other thing we can think of is possibly Minecraft figures or something we haven’t seen yet. There is no question that Microsoft sees Nintendo’s success with amiibo.
Phil Spencer said there would be a lot of new genres being shown at E3 this year.
Stay tuned for more updates
