The HTC Vive will cost $799

The HTC Vive Virtual Reality headset which is a collaboration between HTC and Valve. We have found out through a leak that it will cost $799. The announcement was originally supposed to be at the Mobile World Congress.  The HTC Vive ships with two controllers, one for each hand, and two base stations to track the user’s movement in the room. The package will be bundled with two games, Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption. The pre-orders will be going live on February 29th and the shipments will arrive in April.
The Oculus Rift will begin shipping units at the end of March which only costs $599. It will be interesting to see what Sony does with the Playstation VR.
