Recently, Microsoft shocked the entire industry by announcing their acquisition of Activision Blizzard for almost 70 Billion US Dollars. With this purchase comes lots of new popular IP’s that all gamers have grown to love including Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Overwatch, Call of Duty and Diablo to just name a few.

The biggest question for many fans of Call of Duty was that will the franchise become an Xbox console exclusive and be available on PC? Potentially avoiding a release on PlayStation moving forward. Well today fans can take a deep breath as Bloomberg reports that the next three Call of Duty titles will release on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

“That includes this year’s Call of Duty, expected to be a new entry in the popular Modern Warfare sub-series being developed by Infinity Ward, and the following game, which is in development at Treyarch, both Activision-owned studios”

So, the three games will be:

New Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2022

Call of Duty 2023

Warzone 2 launching in 2023

Based on what Phil Spencer stated recently about Sony being an important part of our industry, it would be hard to see Call of Duty not launching on the PlayStation console in the future. All existing agreements will be honored by Microsoft.

What are your thoughts on Call of Duty possibly not launching on a PlayStation console years from now?
