Hasbro announced that it has a new licensing partnership with Nintendo to create toys based on the popular The Legend of Zelda franchise. The multi-year collaboration is set to start in 2027 with the first reveals of three 6″ scale figures at San Diego Comic Con.
“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, President Toys and Board Games at Hasbro.“ By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”
The reveal of Hasbro’s first Legend of Zelda toys will come next week from July 23 to 26 during San Diego Comic Con. During this show we should see other toys be revealed from other companies for other games, movies, comics, etc.
Last year, we got our first look at the Nintendo Game Boy LEGO set at San Diego Comic Con.
Nintendo has been pushing more toys of its IP lately especially with LEGO. We have seen new LEGO sets featuring The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Mario, and soon Donkey Kong is getting a new set.
This announcement comes just at the right time. In 2027, The Legend of Zelda Movie is coming to theaters. It will be a live-action film and we have yet to see a trailer for it, but that could also be coming soon.
