Battlefield 6 Season 4 Comes Next Week With Top Gun Crossover, Wake Island Lands Tomorrow

It is no secret that the latest Battlefield – Battlefield 6 – left a lasting impression since releasing back in fall 2025. The game arrived and it did not take long for Electronic Arts with Christopher McQuarrie (Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning) to greenlit a live-action film. In the April report, it is still shopping the idea to firms like Apple & Sony.

As for the game itself, Battlefield has received several updates since its release more than half a year ago. In February, Season 2 arrived delivering a wave of ‘high-intensity’ maps to the experience alongside updates to the new Redsec mode. By Season 3 by May, Battlefield Studios officially rolled out Redsec Ranked for players to finally engage in a proper, competitive sense in the game mode.

Looking ahead, DICE & Battlefield Studios revealed that Season 4 is set to arrive next week. On X, it confirmed that the classic Battlefield vista Wake Island is shipping tomorrow. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Naval combat has hit the harbour. Take the fight across land, sea, and air on new amphibious maps and modes, captain your crew in naval vehicles, and master the new dynamic wave system as rolling water changes movement, visibility, and engagement flow across the Pacific shoreline,” the post reveals. “Navigate hostile waters, use shifting waves to disrupt enemy sightlines, and turn the tide of war from sea to shore.”

Alongside the emphasis on nautical warfare, new map ‘Tsuru Reef’ will be featured and is said to be the largest ever for the series. “Deploy into the biggest all-out battleground yet. Fight across a sprawling Pacific archipelago dense with luxury bungalows, tropical vegetation, jagged cliffs, and open water, with combat built around land, naval, and air warfare.” New vehicle RCB-90 Patrol Boat will be added to complement the setting and the 7.7m NSW RHIB from Redsec joins as well.

Separately on X, it is revealed that Top Gun will be part of a greater crossover within Battlefield 6 comes the arrival of Wake Island. “Some legends fly solo. The best crews don’t,” the X post teases. This is not the first Top Gun collaboration as it was previously featured in Microsoft Flight Simulator. You can read the full report by heading here.
