It has been well over a year since the release of The Division 2 and developer Massive Entertainment is still committed to injecting more doses of content into the post-apocalyptic title. Right around the one-year birthday for the third-person, action shooter, the studio revealed that the first expansion, Warlords of New York, would be arriving to the game. The new story follows a lineage of free content and story missions that intersect with the first paid DLC for the game.
And now as we inch closer to the summer that is upon us, Massive Entertainment shares that Season 2 for Warlords of New York is arriving in the coming week. In anticipation to that – Title Update 10 will ship tomorrow which unleashes a mass buff to all weapons including Exotic/Legendary items, improvements to the game’s more challenging difficulty modes, and a slew of bug fixing tweaks.
As for the new season itself, players can find an additional Prime Target of Aaron Keener’s guild of followers, new gear, Healing Trap skill, global event, and new Manhunt. But the biggest eye opener is that the second raid for The Division 2 is set to ship shortly after Season 2 drops, Ubisoft teases.
Raid 2, titled Operation Iron Horse, is coming very soon, and will feature new rewards and different versions for Level 30 and Level 40 Agents.
Regarding the finer details of the new raid, Massive Entertainment shares that this new experience is timed well following Title Update 10 shipping tomorrow. Additionally, there is grander loot to be collected and a new difficulty mode as well to be uncovered when the second raid is out. Most importantly, Operation Iron Horse will offer two iterations for level 30 players and the more equipped level 40 users also.
Reflecting back on the first raid that shipped for The Division 2, Massive Entertainment didn’t release Operation Dark Hours until the middle of May 2019. Now with Operation Iron Horse underway, we will certainly learn more about its setting and its contents in the coming weeks. We suggest you read up on our full review for the game if you decide in trying out the new raid beforehand.
