In 2020 Activision & Vicarious Visions released Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 remasters which had many fans excited who played all the early Tony Hawk titles. The game did live up to the hype while giving us hope that other remasters of the series would happen.

Recently, it was leaked out that Activision canned the idea of doing a remaster for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. The man himself, Tony Hawk said himself on a Twitch livestream that the plan was to release those remasters up until 1+2 launched, but Vicarious Visions was put to work on other projects while Activision took other pitches from outside studios but did not like them.

There is still hope that one day we will get more remasters of some of the fan favorite Tony Hawk games, but for now we aren’t sure how promising it is.
