Round and round the mullberry bush, where we stop, nobody knows. Which one of Ubisoft’s properties will be getting a Netflix TV series? That is the question after CEO Yves Guillemot announced yesterday that the company is tossing the idea around.
He made the announcements in the ongoing effort to keep his company independent amidst the attempted coupe of stocks by Vivendi. The company now owns more than 20% of Ubisoft shares, and will require a seat on its board once it hits 30% according to French law. No word on which of Ubisoft’s properties the series would be based on, but I’m guessing it’s going to be Far Cry. With Assassin’s Creed in on the movie scene now, For Honor being a new property and South Park being an already TV show on Comedy Central, it’s the best bet for an episodic breakdown.
