For Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it was anticipated that Hogwarts Legacy would be a release to shake the industry. But to consider that the first entry in a new IP would overtake Call of Duty that year – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III – was another thing. So of course plans for a sequel would be established at developer Avalanche Software. Even executives for Warner Bros. Discovery verified plans to follow through with a sequel although it won’t release for another few years.

From our review for the 2023 title, Rectify Gaming scored Hogwarts Legacy a 9.5/10. “Overall, I can’t recommend Hogwarts Legacy enough to players looking for a great adventure game with an excellent combat system,” we wrote. “Even if you aren’t a fan of Harry Potter in general, but like magical high adventure stories and RPGs, you will definitely find something to like about this game.”

And now, it is officially coming. In a recent interview with Variety, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirms that the next Hogwarts Legacy title is underway. It is also reassured that this effort to realize more games within the Hogwarts Legacy franchise is a “big priority” for Warner Bros. Discovery certainly seeing how successful the first game is.

“We have known for some time that fans are looking for more things in this world, and so we’re spending a lot of time thinking about that. Our insights tell us that there are not huge distinctions between a younger version of a fan and an older version of a fan. They’re just deep ‘Harry Potter’ fans, and we try to build authentic experiences to delight them,” Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad says.

And for players looking for more Hogwarts Legacy, a new version of the original game is reportedly planned to release very soon. It is shared that a ‘Definitive Edition’ for the Harry Potter prequel video game is underway and will include more content for the base game. You can read the full report by heading here.
