Last Valentine’s Day welcomed Media Molecule’s Dreams to PlayStation 4. Of course, the experience continues to PlayStation 5 as well with Dreams on the latest platform. But what is most notable about the project is the ability and creativity that its users prove to conjure as time followed the initial release. Fan-made adaptations and unique worlds alike – Dreams truly pushes the boundaries of just a game maker.
Not only that, but players with a PlayStation VR headset can also expand their creative flows into their work with support for the peripheral that launched back in July. However, there has yet to be a PC release for the game that many anticipated to become a reality. Even Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips nodded at the chances with the suggestion for Horizon Zero Dawn on the platform before its announcement, but nothing followed after.
Despite that, Media Molecule is hopeful to deliver Dreams to new systems later down the road. Even with Sony Interactive Entertainment breathing down the neck of the team, the game studio is optimistic on the future of Dreams coming to other platforms.
It’s complicated, and we have to do it in the right way, and we have to do it in a way that works with Sony because we’re a big organization. So, I think for ages we’ve been saying to the community, “We’re working on it,” and we’re still at that point.

While the developer does signify the presence of Sony in the development for Dreams leading forward, Media Molecule is excited for the project with Sony at the helm. “What really excites me about all of this is Sony is really behind what we’re doing and are investing in the studio to grow,” studio director Siobhan Reddy explains to Kotaku.
But looking at Sony’s track record in delivering more of its first-party releases to PC, there does not appear to be a lot to worry about. Most recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bend Studio announced Days Gone will be arriving to PC later this summer. You can read the full report by heading here.
