Insomniac’s Wolverine game has been rumored to be showcased at the next PlayStation State of Play, which is expected to happen by the end of this month. A new report has come out that suggests the Wolverine game will be released in 2026.
According to mp1st, Wolverine is “still on track for a 2026 release”. This was the release window that was also seen in the large leaks that happened a couple of years ago. What those leaks also shared was that a new Venom game was in development.

The outlet also reports that Venom continues to be part of the studio’s plans, with it likely still in pre-production. A release window for Venom has not been reported yet. The previous leaks did mention FY 2025, but that will obviously not happen. It’s possible it could be a 2027 release on PlayStation.
Eddie Brock will reportedly take on the role of protagonist in the Venom video game. This version of Eddie will align more closely with his comic book character and resemble his live-action portrayal in the Venom films.
As usual, we must take reports like this with a grain of salt. It sounds like a lot of noise is being made about Wolverine lately, giving us expectations to finally see it soon.
