The periodic releases of World Updates in Microsoft Flight Simulator never gets old. Back in August 2024, World Update XVIII focused on the European DACH region that brought new emphasis to countries like Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Then World Update XIX put the spotlight on South American nations like Brazil & French Guiana.

Entering World Update 20 this past fall, Japan was revisited at Tokyo Game Show. At the time, the update explored the nuance of locations like Chiba, Fujioka, Hokkaido, Kawasaki, Kobe, and more. Then the most recent title update – World Update 21 – Australia was the focused region. The update included new adjustments to New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria.

Now at XBOX Games Showcase, Asobo Studio is back with World Update 22. Coming on America’s Independence Day, the update will bring new emphasis to the National Parks for the United States. You can read the list of featured locations below:

“Microsoft Flight Simulator celebrates gorgeous United States of America landscapes in this spectacular World Update 22: US National Parks. Featuring over thirty National Parks and Monuments and the Goodyear Blimp” Asobo Studio reveals in the announcement post for the new content update coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator.

“Want to experience the thrills and adventure of air racing? Coming this fall, take to the skies over New Mexico with the release of the world’s fastest motorsport: the National Championship Air Races. The sky is calling!” the developer also confirms. But, there is no current date on when the races are set to land for Microsoft Flight Simulator as of yet.
